ABOUT AVA AND HER GLITTER BALL
The Ava Scott Glitter
Ball will be held on Saturday 2nd February from 7pm at the Fir Grove
Hotel in Warrington. Tickets are available now at £20 each, simply email:
theavascottglitterball@live.com or call: 07814 568 278.
The Ava Scott Foundation has been
set up by friends and their families to help raise money and awareness of
Ewing’s Sarcoma. Ava
has been diagnosed with a rare cancer called Ewing’s Sarcoma. Fewer than 30 children in the UK
develop Ewing’s Sarcoma each year. It usually occurs in the teenage years, and
more commonly affects boys than girls. For more information you can look at www.ewings-sarcoma.org.uk
which is a great website.
Ava is now 8 years old and is a
very brave beautiful little girl.
She has had 6 grueling courses of chemotherapy and in December Ava had
her femur removed and replaced.
After six weeks of complete bed rest Ava will have to learn to walk
again and is also currently undergoing further chemotherapy treatment.
The ball will raise money
for Ava’s aftercare and also raise awareness of the condition. Lisa Swift, who
initially set up the foundation quotes “Ava is the bravest and most amazing little girl I have ever met. She has coped with everything she has
been through with such grace and dignity, everyone who meets Ava comes away
with a smile.” Please do your bit to make a local families life that little bit
easier. Its time to give something back, if you have anything to donate to the
raffle or something on the evening please do not hesitate to contact the events
team.
